Yorkshire’s first whisky

This who know me well will know I like a drop of whisky! There’s nothing quite like a good single malt, matured over many years and with centuries of traditional distilling artistry poured into it.

Nothing, that is, unless it’s also from Yorkshire.

Since my visit last year to the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery in the village of Hunmanby, close to Clara’s Den, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Yorkshire’s first official whisky – and the day is finally here.

Yorkshire’s first whisky, Filey Bay

Named Filey Bay, this whisky has made big news – and not just in whisky circles. After all, with Yorkshire excelling in many other areas, it’s about time we proved that we can distil a quality spirit as well!

Congratulations to the team at Spirit of Yorkshire on a remarkable – and very tasty – achievement!

So, as if you needed more reasons to visit Filey Bay, here’s another one. Why not check availability at our premium apartment, just a couple of miles from the distillery?
