We’ve taken the following steps to reduce the risk as much as possible to you, our guests, whilst staying at Clara’s Den during the COVID-19 pandemic:
- We’ve created an Enhanced Cleaning Protocol.
- We have an NHS Test & Trace QR code in the entrance hallway of our apartment. Please can ALL guests scan the code DAILY to adhere to UK government COVID-19 guidelines.
- You will have to travel through a communal area to access our upstairs apartment. The Bay (holiday village) management and cleaning team have responsibility for this area. They have provided a wall-mounted hand sanitiser dispenser just inside the communal door, and made a commitment to sanitise the high-touch areas at regular intervals throughout the day.
- You may find our apartment a bit ‘stripped back’, as we have removed all cushions, throws, games, books, DVD, information leaflets etc. This reduces the risk of cross-contamination and to enable a more effective clean.
We’ve also made changes to our cancellation policy to ensure you get back a full refund of the money you paid.
This policy would apply if you, or anybody in your household, fall ill with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, or if you have been asked to isolate by NHS Test & Trace, or if you live in an area which is under local or national lockdown.
This policy applies up to and including the day you are due to travel – even if you’re already on your way. If you feel ill before leaving home please do not travel, or if you become ill whilst travelling please return home – if it is safe for you to do so.
If you become ill during your stay
If you become ill whilst at our apartment please follow the instructions on the NHS poster behind the living room door, and let us know so we can make any necessary arrangements.
If you get a positive COVID-19 test result whilst at our apartment and have to isolate there due to being unable to travel home, or being advised by the NHS to isolate there, please show us your test result and we will arrange a reduced fee for your extended stay to help us cover costs.
Please check with reception (01723518130) or The Bay website as booking systems may be in place for the leisure centre and pub.
Finally, we must remind all guests that they are responsible for social distancing whilst in the holiday village. Please also follow the UK government guidance by washing or sanitising your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds, especially on entering the apartment.
